iPad winner Debbie Ireland with Ken Smith

Debbie Ireland is the proud owner of a new iPad after winning the State Emergency Service’s (SES) FloodSafe Week competition.

FloodSafe Week was held from April 30 until May 6 to raise awareness of the threat of flood and share information on how Victorians can prepare for it.

Part of the fun was a FloodSafe Quiz held via Facebook, which asked ‘how well do you know your flood facts?’ Entrants were in the running for a range of prizes, including an iPad, ten home emergency kits and 100 wind-up torches.

SES Wangaratta Unit Controller Ken Smith presented Debbie with the major prize on Saturday, and our other winners are receiving their prizes in the mail.

Congratulations to everyone and thanks for taking part.

You can still take our FloodSafe Quiz on our Facebook page, and you can always visit our FloodSafe page for information on being prepared and putting together your own home emergency kit.
