The Moe Unit is made up entirely of volunteers from the local area, including Moe, Yallourn North, Newborough, Trafalgar, Willow Grove and surrounds.

In 2012 the unit responded to a record number of requests for assistance and have been involved in some significant operations including earthquakes, floods and storms. Moe crews have also lent a hand in Melbourne, Western Victoria and Queensland.

The unit is hoping to recruit members for operational response and support roles and associate members to help support the community.

SES members received accredited training including first aid, chainsaw operation, four wheel driving, health and safety and general rescue techniques.

Everyone is welcome and volunteers would love to meet you.
