National Disaster Rescue Competition

Published 31/05/2013

Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) is hosting the 2013 National Disaster Rescue Competition.

The event will be held on the weekend of 21 and 22 September at the Country Fire Authority Training Ground in Fiskville.

Teams of SES volunteers from all states and territories will converge on Melbourne to take part in the biennial event, pitting their skills, knowledge and ability against one another in a series of ‘emergency situations’.

The event offers a rare opportunity for volunteers to interact with and learn from their interstate counterparts through some friendly competition.

Event and accommodation registration is now available. Unfortunately, the event will not be open to spectators.

Are you an SES volunteer taking part in the competition?

  • Download a copy of the General Instructions
  • Register for the competition up until 31 May 2013. (Note, there are three types of registration: Team Member; Team Manager, competing; Team Manager, non-competing. The information collected in this form will be used to identify competing teams and to ensure the necessary accommodation, catering arrangements and apparel are organised and confirmed.)
