The Expo featured a variety of agencies, universities and businesses promoting positive career choices to children from Grade 6 through to Year 12.

Young people learned that volunteering in an organisation like SES can give them access to recognised training and the opportunity to develop invaluable work and people skills like communication, teamwork, focus on task and problem solving.

The students enjoyed working as a group to transport a casualty across an obstacle. This was presented as a problem-solving exercise where the group had to decide the best approach.

The weight and size of the Jaws of Life rescue equipment also impressed many students.
