Latest advice about Murray River levels in northwest
The Murray River continues to rise downstream following the heavy rains throughout September and October. This will effect the Murray Valley Highway and regions between Swan Hill and Robinvale.
“We are continuing to monitor the impact of flood levels on the Murray Valley highway near
Boundary Bend,” says SES Incident Controller, Andrew Gill.
Moderate flooding is expected to peak at Wakool this weekend, followed by Boundary Bend on Monday. Minor flooding is expected to peak at Euston (Robinvale) by Thursday November 10 and then Mildura on Thursday November 18.
Residents who think they may become isolated are reminded to ensure they have enough drinking water, food and medical supplies to last at least 2 weeks. Water is predicted to be at peak levels for 4-6 days before beginning to fall at a rate that will take around twice as long as it took to rise.
