On Tuesday 16 March the launch of the AAMI Equipment Handover Program was held at VICSES Moe Unit, celebrating the final year of the program and the donation of thousands of dollars worth of equipment for VICSES units across the state.

AAMI spokesperson Paul Sofronoff and VICSES East Regional Manager Anthony McLean joined Moe Unit in launching the event, which included local media and a live road crash rescue demonstration.

As our Principle Community Partner for the past 18 years, AAMI has donated more than $9 million towards our organisation and our incredible volunteers, including over 20,000 pieces of the latest operational equipment to keep our communities safe.

“The Moe Unit has received some incredible equipment over the years from AAMI, with a value close to $15,000 since 2015, allowing Moe members to purchase a defibrillator, remote lighting system, spinal board, flares, pole saw for branch cutting, and so much more,” said Moe Unit Controller Brad Henry.

“We are celebrating 50 years of service to the community this year and about to become Road Accident Rescue accredited, which will enhance the service we can provide to our community. As a Unit Controller, I am grateful that my team at Moe is supported by AAMI.”

Marking the final year of the program, from 2022, AAMI will be supporting VICSES initiatives that directly engage with the community, including our 15 to Float campaign.

“Both AAMI and VICSES share an unwavering commitment to protecting and helping communities get back on their feet – and we’re proud of our partnership and the work we’ve been able to achieve together,” said AAMI spokesperson Paul Sofronoff.

Luck we’re with AAMI!
