Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is excited to host a state-of-the-art Road Crash Rescue Workshop featuring world renowned expert Flinn Deen from Holmatro.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) and the MFB will be joining VICSES for the interactive workshop, which will be held in Geelong. QFES is recognised as the leader in road crash rescue training nationally particularly in Heavy Rescue and VICSES are delighted to host QFES.

The event will enable regional trainers to learn the latest rescue techniques.

These members will deliver this crucial training to volunteers across VICSES, enabling the organisation to provide the most professional and effective road crash rescue service across the state.

VICSES is the largest road crash rescue provider in Australia, with volunteers responding to 1218 road crash rescues in the last 12 months; 219 of which were in the South West region.

These workshops are necessary to ensure that VICSES continues to be at the forefront of road crash rescue in Australia.

Dutch manufacturer Holmatro is bringing the latest rescue tools to demonstrate their maximum spreading, cutting and crushing ability in a safe and controlled environment, while providing staff with the latest equipment information.

Founded in the Netherlands in 1967– Holmatro is a leading global supplier of hydraulic equipment and services. Flinn Deen is a professional rescue consultant with Holmatro and will impart a wealth of knowledge to SES staff regarding extrication techniques and procedures.
