Victoria State Emergency Service: Statement

As per the statement from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), there was some confusion with donations and deliveries at the Flemington housing estate last night. After a short misunderstanding, all donated items were returned immediately.

We understand this caused inconvenience and frustration. we apologise for the misunderstanding and thank the residents for their cooperation and patience.

VICSES had around 30 volunteers out supporting DHHS and Victoria Police with logistics around food distribution.

We fully support and thank our volunteers for their response who are part of the communities we serve. We will continue to support our agency partners as required in a complex situation and sympathise with the community affected.
