Information and resources about StormSafe Week 2014.

Monday 8 September to Sunday 14 September is StormSafe Week, our annual awareness campaign to remind everyone to be prepared for severe storms in Victoria.

Get ready. Know what to do.

StormSafe Week 2014 has a clear message: Get ready. Know what to do. VICSES CEO Stephen Griffin said this year’s focus was on getting ready and being prepared before a storm hits. “We encourage everyone to use StormSafe Week as an opportunity to meet their local SES volunteers and learn how they can be prepared for storms as well as other emergencies. By the time a storm hits it’s already too late, taking the time to prepare during fair weather can make a big difference,” he said.

Throughout StormSafe Week 2014, SES volunteers across the state will hold a range of events to discuss emergency preparedness with their local community, including simple, useful tips on how everyone can take responsibility for their own safety and that of their property

You can find more information in the media release and other resources below, as well as on our main StormSafe page.
