Become a volunteer
To register your interest in becoming a volunteer with Victoria State Emergency Service (SES), or to find out more, please call 1300 VICSES (that's 1300 842 737). Calls made during business hours will be connected to your local SES regional office. Alternatively, you can email your enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you have registered with us, we’ll put you in touch with a representative from your nearest SES Unit who can tell you more about becoming a volunteer.
Please note: the information you provide to SES will only be used to process your request for more information about becoming a volunteer. It will not be provided to third parties or used for any other purpose.
Volunteer in an emergency
If you are available to help in a large-scale emergency, complete and submit the registration form on Victoria's Volunteer Portal by visiting www.volunteer.vic.gov.au.
Once you have submitted the form, your details will be passed on to local councils in the area you are interested in, or to the Emergency Response organisation who is coordinating recovery efforts in the affected region.
Please note: these organisations may not be able to contact you straight away or spontaneously recruit, screen and coordinate new volunteers during a crisis.
