Bacchus Marsh open day

Bacchus Marsh open day

Published: 07/02/2014

Victoria State Emergency Service's (SES) Bacchus Marsh Unit will hold an open day on Saturday 15 February.

Bacchus Marsh volunteers have been supporting Bacchus Marsh and surrounding communities for more 30 years, assisting during flood and storm events and providing road crash rescue.  They also support the local CFA brigades during the fire season and with evacuation exercises, such as the one held recently at Greendale, coordinated by Moorabool Shire and Victoria Police.

SES volunteers will be available throughout the morning to meet the community and share their experience and insight on becoming a volunteer and how to be prepared for storm and flood emergencies.

The Bacchus Marsh Unit open day is on at 11 Gisborne Rd, Bacchus Marsh from 9am to 12 noon on Saturday, so why not take the opportunity to meet your local volunteers and have a tour of their vehicles and facilities?
