Emergency Services Blood Challenge

Emergency Services Blood Challenge

Published 02/06/2016
From 1 June 2016 to 31 August 2016 the Australian Red Cross Blood Service will be running the annual Emergency Services Blood Challenge.

From 1 June 2016 to 31 August 2016 the Australian Red Cross Blood Service will be running the annual Emergency Services Blood Challenge.

During this challenge, emergency services organisations across the state compete in a friendly competition to see which service can make the most blood donations.

Last year, the SES registered 189 donations during the challenge. Can we beat 200 donations this year?

The 2016 challenge was launched at the new Red Cross Donor Centre on Wednesday 1 June at 367 Collins Street (CBD) Melbourne.

Here are some of the highlights:

Renee Hardwick, Donor Centre Manager and Nillumbik Unit volunteer with Paddy.

Trevor White, Chief Officer Operations, leading the way for SES in this year's challenge.

Paddy with his other emergency service mascot friends including Billy the Blood Drop, Captain Koala and Sergeant Pete.

If you are interested in being part of the challenge, you can add your donation to the SES total. Visit www.donateblood.com.au/nes.
