Mindfit Podcast: Special Movember episode now live
As part of the VICSES Movember men's health campaign, we chat with Associate Professor Tony Walker, CEO of Ambulance Victoria and ambassador of the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
We talk openly and candidly with Tony about prostate cancer and how the often misunderstood and stigmatised disease can be largely treated if detected early. If the cancer is detected in the early stages, there is a 98% survival rate beyond 5 years, versus 26% if detected late.
We also discuss mental and physical health, the importance of self care, and explore ways to build self awareness regarding early warning signs of poor mental health whilst working in the emergency services.
