Over $55,000 raised for local VICSES units

The Bunnings Aussie Day Weekend Fundraising BBQ has raised a total of $56,336 for local VICSES units.

This phenomenal sum was raised both through the BBQs run by Bunnings staff as well as fundraising activities undertaken by VICSES volunteers on the day.

Over $450,000 was raised and 127,000 sausages were sold nationally making it the most successful Bunnings Aussie Day BBQ ever. All the money raised will go directly to emergency service volunteers who took part.

A number of VICSES volunteers took the opportunity to come down to Bunnings on the day, to support the event by spreading important safety messages to the community. A total of 30 VICSES units across the state will benefit from this initiative.
