This is a tremendous result for what has been a very dedicated effort by our volunteers. The team was put to the test through a number of scenarios including realistic road rescues involving multiple live casualties, as well as ‘trauma challenges’ where teams responded to a range of serious incidents such as chainsaw accidents.
This is as close as it gets to the real thing on the road and the teams are assessed by an expert panel from across Australasia.
We’re looking forward to the team returning and sharing what they’ve learned with the SES volunteers across the state.
