VICSES CEO Stephen Griffin says thank you to all volunteers around Australia.
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to stop and reflect on the hard work done by volunteers across Australia – and for us that means Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) volunteers in particular.
I know that VICSES wouldn’t exist without the tireless commitment of our 5,000 volunteers and this week is a chance for all Australians to say thank you to those who give up their time for the greater good.
Having welcomed home the large contingent of volunteers who were recently deployed to NSW to help with storm and flood affected areas, I know how essential their work is in helping those who need it most.
I would like to sincerely thank all volunteers and particularly VICSES volunteers for their work in making our community a safer place and contributing to building better communities.
Your dedication, commitment and community values are invaluable and on behalf of VICSES I want to say thank you.
