Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) and AAMI Insurance are hitting the road this month for their annual volunteer equipment handover program

AAMI has been a community partner of SES since 2002, providing funding for Victoria’s 153 units to purchase new equipment.

AAMI has contributed more than $4.5 million to Victoria SES. As well as supporting the units by providing equipment, AAMI also support a suite of resilience programs and other promotional activity coordinated by SES.

AAMI values the communities in which its customers and staff live and work and believes in protecting them and giving back to these communities.

Last year more than 1,300 pieces of equipment were purchased for SES units across the state, ranging from chainsaws and road rescue equipment to flashing traffic beacons.

SES Chief Executive Officer Stephen Griffin said AAMI’s support provided valuable equipment for SES volunteers, complementing their valuable work safeguarding their communities against the threat of flood, storm, earthquake and tsunami.

SES and AAMI will be travelling across Victoria this month to hand out each unit’s equipment.
