A flood can be devastating. It can lead to property damage and even loss of life.

Victoria has many areas that are prone to flooding at any time of the year, so you need to be ready. The Victoria State Emergency Service has developed three new animations to help communities understand their local flood risk and how to search for this information using local flood guides.

Local flood guides are a result of collaborations between VICSES, local councils, water catchment authorities and communities. LFG’s contain important information, specific for local areas, as well as how to plan and stay safe when flooding is expected.

The three new animations vary in length from 10 seconds, 30 seconds and 60 seconds, and will assist with VICSES with their community engagement programs.

The videos will enable VICSES to use a geotargeted approach when looking to enhance community resilience, thus helping to create safer communities - together.
