Bacchus Marsh open day
Victoria State Emergency Service's (SES) Bacchus Marsh Unit will hold an open day on Saturday 16 February.
The Bacchus Marsh SES Unit celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, and its volunteers are strong supporters of the community.
They give assistance during flood and storm events and provide road rescue. They also support their local CFA brigades during the fire season and more recently with the evacuation exercise held at Greendale, coordinated by Moorabool Shire and Victoria Police.
The Bacchus Marsh Unit open day will be held at the unit headquarters at 11 Gisborne Rd, Bacchus Marsh from 9am to 12 noon.
SES volunteers will be available throughout the morning to meet the community and share their experience and insight on how they became a volunteer and how to be prepared for storm and flood emergencies.
So come and meet your local volunteers and have a tour of their vehicles and facilities.
